Abstract:A 45 steel substrate was strengthened by laser cladding Ni-coated WC cermet coating.The microstructure and phase composition of the laser-clad Ni-coated WC metal cermet coating were analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The wear and corrosion resistance of the coating were studied by friction-wear tester and electrochemical test system.The results showed that the WC cermet particles are un...
