Die ehemaligen Kohlengrube Vihovići in Mostar,BiH als Beispiel für die Erkundung,Sicherung und Verwahrung eines Tagebaurestloches

The City of Mostar is located in the South of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the West and in the North of the city, lignite was exploited in undergroung mining in the suburban municipalities Ili?i, Cim, Vihovi?i and Ra?tani from the mid of the 19th century to 1966. In Vihovici, lignite was also mined in open pit. Since the 1980ies, large parts of the exploitation area have been overbuilt with expanding residential areas.
