Chemical stability and use of thermostabilized polyacrylonitrile fibres

The chemical stability of thermostabilized polyacrylonitrile fibre was investigated. It was found that the material is resistant to acids with concentration of up to 30%, petroleum products, and salt water, and is less resistant to bases.
