Abstract: | Mn-doped Sr5(PO4)3Cl nanorods were synthesized by a simple precipitation method without any controlling agents. The obtained nanorods were uniform and had diameters of 15–35 nm and lengths of 200–300 nm observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). A red emission band centered at 695 nm corresponding to 4T1–6A1 transition of Mn2+ ion was seen from the photoluminescence spectra. The optimum concentration for Mn2+ luminescence in Sr5(PO4)3Cl host is about 1.5 mol%. |
