| Abstract: | The paper presents the newest developmert of top drives made by American Varco Co.,National-Oilwell Co.,Bowen Co.,BJ Co.,Canadian Tesco Co.,CANRIG Co.,MH Co. of Norway and Acb CO.of France in recent years.The newest top drive series of each Co.are also introduced.The characteristics of these newest developments are:developing new product to form top drive series,and developing AC variable-frequency electric top drive.American Varao Co.has developed AC variable-frequency electric top drive series.Developing Chinese top drive series and AC variable-frequency electric top drive is suggested in this paper. |
