PLANNING ALSO MEANS TO BE PLANNED: ANALYZING THE NATURE OF PLANNING AS A FIRST LEVEL DISCIPLINE

This paper discusses the backgrounds,the present conditions and future trends of planning as a first level discipline.It reveals some defects and very nature of planning discipline.To form the specificity of planning as a discipline,some efforts can be made by inheriting Utopian ideas and developing technique methods for dynamic objectives.It is also necessary to improve the ways of qualitative analysis and to overcome the consciousness of gentrification in planning.The author believes that planning discipline can cover all the processes and methodologies concerning determination and realization of any objectives.
