Abstract: | Numerical values are obtained for the path independent integral and for crack opening displacement δ, for internally and externally cracked tension members under conditions of plane strain. These parameters have been obtained, for an creeping material, from stationary state solutions using the finite element method. Values of and δ are compared with available results and are shown to be in good agreement. |
