Abstract:The influence of distributed Capacitance of UHV distant transmission line to current differential protection is analyzed and the corresponding capacitance current compensation scheme is presented in this paper.The scheme is simple and practical,not only increasing security during short-circuit beyond protected zone but also improving sensitivity at fault within the protected zone.
