Image Coding Techniques at Very Low Bit-Rate

With the increament of the need for video information, image coding techniques atvery low bit-rate become more remarkable.In this paper,the authors introduce the basic idea ofvery low bit-rate image coding,the current studying status and existing question of some very lowbit-rate image coding method. The authers also describe two typical model-based coding methodand 3-D image coding. At the end of this paper,the authers point out the basic problem of suchkind of coding system from the view of signal representation.
