Analysis on the Origin of Methanol in Propylene

As one of important products of ethylene plant, propylene is a raw material for polypropylene device, methanol in propylene can cause catalyst poison in polypropylene unit with Unipol gas phase method. If the methanol content is too high, the polypropylene plant will be caused to stop. In this paper, according to the actual case, how to produce methanol in propylene products from ethylene unit with SW process was analyzed, how to control the methanol content in propylene was discussed.
