Abstract: | The electrochemical properties and microstructures of MlNi3.5Co0.75-xSixAl0.2Mn0.55 were systematically studied. In order to decrease the cost of electrodes, Co is partially replaced by Si. The alloys display great discharge capability, quick activation, high discharge rate and stable discharge voltage when x=0.1~0.2. X-ray and SEM observations indicate that these alloys are made of two phases, LaNi5 and La2Ni7, and the phase La2Ni7 is increased with increasing Si content. |
