The function and position of decoration in art and design

With the understanding of the decoration, from the veiw of historical continuity and times de- velopment, the position and role of decoration are analyzed. In order to promote modern design with more consciously, active, positive attitude to use decoration in the field of art and design, the decorative features of typical design works are studied, the decoration inreplaceable contribution to the progress of modern art design is analyzed from different angle.
