Abstract: | In this paper, the phase-field oxidation mechanism of ultra-high temperature ZrB2/SiC ceramics is investigated theoretically. Firstly, a phase-field model is developed to analyze the oxidation behaviors of multiphase materials. Secondly, the evolutions of the porosity and the oxidation stress for the oxidized ZrB2/SiC ceramics with different temperatures and different oxygen partial pressures are predicted, and the influences of the mechanical factors on the oxidation behaviors of ZrB2/SiC ceramics are discussed. Finally, two-dimensional oxidation behaviors of ZrB2/SiC ceramics are simulated and analyzed. |
