Personal Video Recording System Using H.264 Video Coding Standard

Today digital video technology is developing so fast, and than how to make video signal transmit both fast and well has become an important topic. So the most important role of video coding is that balance efficiency of compressing and video quality. In this article, first we describe the advantage of lasted issued H.264 video coding standard and the implement of its Baseline Profile, so that it can deal with the relationship both of compressing and video quality very well. Secondly, we indicate the structure of the PVR and how to innovate it in our experiment in detail. At last we give a summary of the PVR and analyze the wide vision of its business application.
