With the development of information technology,a military revolution has come into being since the end of 20 century.That is network centric warfare.Information warfare will transform from platform centric warfare to network centric warfare,and network centric warfare will become the main warfare of information warfare.The concepts of network structure and warfare structure of network centric warfare were mentioned.Today's status of American network centric warfare was introduced and the factors were analysed that restrict the development of American network centric warfare.The position and effect of computer in network centric warfare were men-tioned.
