在翻译中比喻性短语的文化内涵

英汉两种语言中都存在着大量的比喻性词语，但由于各自的社会文化背景，宗教信仰等各方面的不同，在比喻的主体和客体之间选择也不尽相同。本文从荚汉两种语言比喻性词语的喻体和喻义之间的对应关系着手，以探讨其内在的文化内涵及其翻译方法。比喻性词语可以通过成语，俗语，典故，谚语，惯用语，格言等诸多形式表现出来。英汉两种语言在对同一本体设喻时，采用的喻体却有同有异，喻体和喻义之间的对应关系也不同，有完全对应，部分对应和非对应关系。

Cultural Connotation of Metaphorical Phrases in Translation

Based on a large number of convincing examples of metaphorical phrases beth in Chinese and English and from the angle of cultural analysis, the paper explores some of the inequality between the tenors and their vehicles in two languages with a view to probing their cultural connotation and translation methods. Metaphorical phrases can be presented via such forms as proverbs, sayings, colloquialism, set phrases, allusions, etc. When the tenor is the same, the vehicle is unequal and the correspondent relationship between vehicle and associative meaning is different. The paper categorizes them into the following different kinds： complete correspondence, partial correspondence and non-correspondence.
