| Abstract: | The reason for variability of tests for physical properties of porcelain enamel was investigated. Slight differences in gage of base metal, its source and method of manufacture, and the fineness and thickness of the enamel coating and firing temperature all seriously affect the results obtained. These physical properties may be adjusted at will by regulating the method of preparation. |
