摘    要:拓扑结构分析法在侧重于考虑场的特殊结构时显示出了较大的优越性。但是将该方法应用在复杂而信息丰富的流场中时,可视化的结果可能是成簇的、混乱的,这就需要考虑一种方法来对拓扑图像进行简化。在传统拓扑可视化的基础上,采用多级拓扑的方法对可视化结果图像进行简化。首先使用传统拓扑可视化方法求得临界点,然后基于统计学的原理过滤掉可以被忽略的临界点,并绘制出积分曲线。最后将该方法应用于海洋流场,并和传统的拓扑可视化结果进行比较。实验表明,该方法可以快速的可视化流场的主要特征而不显得混乱,有利于保持复杂流场的全局信息。

Abstract:Analysis of topology shows a greater superiority in focusing on the special structure of the field. However, when the technique is used in complex and information-rich data sets, the result will be a cluttered image, which requires a technique to simplify the topology image. This paper uses the multi-level topology approach to simplify the topology image based on traditional topology visualization results. This paper mainly introduces the steps of multi-level topology visualization: At first, the critical point by using the traditional topology visualization methods is obtained, and the critical point that can be ignored based on the principle of statistics is filtered, and the integral curve is drawn. At last, the method is applied to ocean flow field, and the two topology visualization results are compared. From the experiments, the multi-level topology visualization can show quickly the main features of flow field without excessive cluttering while maintaining the global structure of the flow field.
