Studies of psychosocial influences on coronary artery atherogenesis in cynomolgus monkeys.
Authors:Manuck, Stephen B.   Kaplan, Jay R.   Adams, Michael R.   Clarkson, Thomas B.
Abstract:
Discusses studies (e.g., J. R. Kaplan et al, 1982) indicating that cynomolgus monkeys maintained on a cholesterol-containing diet provide a suitable primate model for studying how psychosocial factors contribute to coronary artery atherogenesis. Interactions with diet, sex, and behaviorally elicited cardiovascular reactivity are described. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved)
