Abstract:According to design conditions of a certain project and considering the particularities of air cooled units,the influence of the unit being air cooled on the proper choice of the matching feed water pump is being analyzed.A turbine driven pump is compared in detail with a motor driven one from relevant technical and economic points of view,including the major generating equipment's heat balance,the back pressure at full output,the set's thermal efficiency,the equipment's reliability and flexibility;providing a reference for owners for the proper choice of the matching feed water pump.Tables 8 and refs 3.
