| Abstract: | Having discussed the styles and the artistic achievements of the furniture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, we compare the development of furniture and interior designing in Japan with that in China and make a point that the contemporary Chinese furniture designing should be advanced in a pioneer spirit by studying the traditional techniques. We can improve our native furniture designing by deriving a lot of benefits from studying the molding techniques and the artistic essence of the Ming and Qing Dynasties . |
