Analysis of an accident pertaining to main condenser explosion in an air separation plant |

| Abstract: | The explosion accident of main condenser in 1500m 3/h air separation plant operated in HefeiIron & Steel Group is described in the paper.It is found that the accident was caused by accumulation of hydrocarbons in the "dead area"of the plate fin heat exchangers.Furthermore preventive measures are presented. |
