| Abstract: | The periodic formation of somites during vertebrate segmentation has been suggested to involve a molecular 'segmentation clock'. Recent observations of cyclic Lunatic fringe expression in chick and mouse embryos link the segmentation clock to Delta-Notch signalling. |
