| 摘 要： | 本文介绍了Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ２的产生背景及其目标，阐述了它的总体结构，对其关键部分Ｇｉｇａｐｏｐ的功能及运行要求进行了讨论，并以美国第一个Ｇｉｇａｐｏｐ为例对其实现方式进行了描述。

| Abstract: | This article introduces the background of the proposal of Internet 2 and its objectives. The architecture of the network and its elementary components are described. The functional and operational requirements of the key element of Internet2, namely gigapop, are discussed. Besides, we take the first US gigapop as an example to illustrate the implement approach of gigapop. |
