Abstract: | An 84-year-old man had a choroidal mass in the temporal aspect of his left globe associated with a nonrhegmatogenous retinal detachment of the macula. Because of suspected malignant melanoma of the choroid the eye was enucleated. On histopathologic examination we found that an intrachoroidal hemorrhage, an extremely unusual type of intraocular hemorrhage, accounted for the mass. |
