摘    要:中国北方石炭二叠纪和侏罗纪煤系中普遍产出一种可塑性极高的软质粘土,又称木节土,其矿物组成以高岭石为主。作者认为这类粘土是由煤层风化形成的。其形成过程可分为三个阶段:(1)煤层因风化而破碎、分解,为淋滤作用创造条件;(2)地下水淋滤去有机质,并形成埃洛石等自生矿物;(3)高岭石富集形成木节土。

Abstract:A kind of high plasticity soft-clay, also called kibushi clay, is widely deposited in Carboniferous-Permian and Jurassic coal-bearing strata in northern China. Its main min-eral is kaolinite. It is considered that this kind of clay was formed from coal bed weathered in situ. This process might be divided into three stages: First ,the coal beds were crushed and decomposed by weathering to creat favourable conditions for leaching. Secondly, or-ganic materials such as hyllosite were formed. Thirdly, kaolinite was enriched to form kibushi clay deposits.
