Researching on the Art-nouveau Movement Architecture in Harbin

The Art-nouveau Movement originated in Europe in the late 19th Century.Along with the construction of the Middle East Railway, the Russian architects moved from Europe to the Chinese Eastern Railway towns and Harbin, leaving a large number of Art-nouveau Movement Architecture.This paper introduces and analyzes the historical origin, unique form of expression and exuberant vitality of the new art movement architecture in Harbin in detail.And it is believed that the emergence of the trend has made Harbin become the fi rst city in modern China to accept modern western architecture and have a solid historical and cultural accumulation.
