| Abstract: | With the growing energy consumption in the communications industry,this paper describes the situation of energy saving and the development of energy-efficient optical transmission technology.It is stated that the waste release should be reduced both in hardware equipment and the software,i.e.,the management.This way,the network operation costs can be reduced,and savings of energy consumption in the next generation communication networks can be realized. |
