Analyses on the Step Item Cost of Bill Quantity of Construction

The step item cost,one of three important parts in the bill quantities of construction,was fully analyzed in this paper and its importance was specifically stressed in the building construction.The discussions were deeply and extensively done,how to design step items for the party issuing contract and reasonably arrange the prices of step items in detailed list of public bidding for the contractor,how to reduce or eliminate increases of the step item cost for the modification under construction and in designing organizing,how to use the economic measures of step item cost for guarantying the quality of construction and how to control the cost of step items as the modification in construction project happened,etc.examples of construction were given to show the importance of managing step item cost of the bill quantity of construction was stressed.
