| 摘 要： | 赣东北特有的自然资源和突出的区位优势为其带来了巨大的发展机遇,商品经济在区域经济中具有重要的地位,19世纪中叶到达鼎盛。此后,赣东北商品经济逐渐衰退,究其原因有厘金、技术、市场、战乱、灾害和从业人员素质低下等,但主要原因无疑是五口通商、九江开埠,全国贸易格局的根本性变化。但由于闭关锁国导致国人对新生事物的茫然和陌生才是赣东北商品经济衰落的内在障碍性因素,这也许是近代中国落后的本质因素。
