| 摘 要： | 在英语和汉语里,所有的颜色都有比喻义或者隐含之义,但是在这两种文化之中,颜色的含义却不相同。这主要是由于不同的文化习惯、社会风俗、地理环境及人们观察事物的不同方法造成的。

| Abstract: | We have found that both in English and Chinese,al1 the colors are rich in metaphorical associations and connotations.And the associations may not be the same in the two cultures.Such differences might result from and reflect,direct1y or indirectly,the fact that people in different cultures have different social customs,different ways of life,different historical and geographical backgrounds and above all,different ways of observing things and people.One thing is sure,however,and that is：co1ors are far more than co1ors only-they are highly symbolic.In this article,we wi1l discuss the major co1ors and the connotation they contain. |
