摘    要:A numerical modelling technique for ice flowing and melting field in coastal tidal currents for the purpose of cooling water engineering design and research is presented based on k-ε turbulence mathematical model and the discretized moving-boun-dary-fitted coordinate system.Special attention is given to treat the complicate geometric,topographic and hydraulic conditions in natural estuarine water for the numerical simulation.The model therefore shows practical and efficient to cooling water engineering research.An engineering application has been conducted using the prediction on ice reduction and melting process by heated water discharges.
