Abstract: | ABSTRACT An algorithm is proposed in this paper which evaluates the equivalent-circuit parameters of single-phase induction motors. Two parameters are kept constant at all speeds: the resistance of the stator winding, and the resistance representing the core losses of the motor. All other parameters must vary with the speed of the motor, so that the equivalent circuit is able to match exactly the performance of the actual motor. The parameters are evaluated from standard test data taken at standstill, at no-load, and under load conditions. |
