８０年代以来，我国炼铁工业得到了长足发展，现已成为第一产铁大国。实践表明，十几年来执行的以现有钢铁企业现代化改造为重点的政策是正确的。在９０年代，我国炼铁工业必须把扩大喷煤量和降低能耗做为基本技术方针。

Review and prospect of ironmaking industry in China

Since the eighties China's ironmaking industry has been rapidly developed, now its pig iron production is in the first place in the world. Practice shows that the policy with the emphasis on the technical modernization of existing iron and steel enterprises, which has been carried out in last decade, is correct. During the ninties the promotion of coal injection and reduction of energy must be taken as a basic policy of ironmaking technology.
