Abstract: | Activity patterns for the high temperature water gas shift reaction over oxide catalysts promoted by precious metals show that the performance of iron oxide–chromia catalysts can be significantly improved by promotion with small amounts of rhodium. The results suggest that reactions of hydrogen at the promoter–catalyst interface are the rate controlling process. |
