| Abstract: | As a kind of wireless communication technology, broadband wireless access technology develops rapidly in recent years. And particularly, the broadband wireless access technology based on IEEE 802.16 attracts most attention. Focusing on 802.16 technology, this article firstly presents the technical characteristics of 802.16 and development status of its standards. Then it introduces the differences and relationship between broadband wireless access technology and future mobile communication technology. |
