| Abstract: | OS/2 is the first single-user & multi-task operating system developed for personal computers. Multitask & virtual memory management etc. are it's advantages & characteristics. The purpose of this paper is to describe the multi-task facilities of the system in more detail. First of all, the tasking model is presented which used several new concepts. Then we deal with the task management mechanisms and scheduling algorithms. In the end, we give the results of performance test & the evaluations on task management. |
