浙江一化工厂爆炸起火，损失上亿

（本刊讯）7月18日早上6时50分左右，位于绍兴上虞市杭州湾精细化工园区的浙江宏达化学制品有限公司一化学品原料仓库发生爆炸。经过绍兴、上虞消防官兵和化工园区专职消防队3个多小时的奋力扑救，火势被基本扑灭，爆炸及火灾中没有造成人员伤亡。但据当地知情人透露，爆炸造成了巨大的财产损失，估计有亿元货物在爆炸中被烧毁。

A Chemical Plant in Zhejiang Province Blown Up Millions of Dollars

July 18, 2006. At around 650, a chemical warehouse of Zhejiang Hongda Chemical Co, Ltd located in the Hangzhou Bay Fine Chemical Industrial Park in Shangyu city blasted. The fire brigades in the vicinity fought arduously for 3 hours to extinguish the fire. The calamity caused no casualty but great property losses with tons of stearic, sodium methyl and brightening agent burnt. The site of the explosion was saturated with poisonous gas and was susceptible to a 2nd explosion. Further investigation of the accident is now still underway.
