Vehicle for New-type Teaching Activities: Design of Wenling High School

This article reviews the changes that have taken place in discipline classification, teaching philosophy and school facilities of China's secondary school education after entering into the 21st century,and leads to the conclusion that the campuses need to be multi-spaced and the teaching facilities need to be modemized so as to meet the requirements of the new century,Then taking the design of Wenling High School in Zhejiang Province as an example,the article explains what have been some successful experiments and what call for special attention in the design of new-type high schools as in their overall layout,environmental planning, teaching facilities,spatial form,and so on.
