| Abstract: | The flattening tests of metallic pipes with or without plate core indicated that (1) when the top and bottom sections of metallic pipes were flattened the results of the two types of tests were the same, (2) in further flattening, the top and bottom sections of hollow metallic pipes were dented and the crack rate was higher than those pipes tested with plate core at the same flattened distance. The results were analysed in the paper. |
