| 摘 要： | 提出了以小波变换为核心技术的视频压缩系统的具体实现方法，设计了系统的整体框架，对各个模块都提出了改进和具体实现的算法。对于帧内图像的编码，提出了Mallat小波变换的改进延拓算法，加入了感觉加权量化。对于帧间图像的编码，针对低码率电视会议的特点改进了三步搜索法，在保持低复杂度的基础上提高了搜索的精度，同时为了提高编码效率，对运动补偿后的残差图像也进行小波编码。实验表明，这种算法的性能优于传统的视频压缩方法。

Video Compression Based on Wavelet Transform |

| Abstract: | The paper proposes a wavelet based video compression system, designs the system framework and improves each algorithm part. As to I-frame compression, it brings forward an improved periodical extension of Mallat wavelet transform, and adds HVS based weighted quantification. As to P-frame compression, it improves the three-step-search (TSS) in motion estimation based on the characteristics of very low bit rate videoconference. Meanwhile. The paper suggests that the residual figure in motion compensation can also be encoded by wavelet to improve coding efficiency. |
