Abstract:
The hydroxyl modified multi-walled carbon nanotube(MWCNT)was used as particle emulsifier to mix with poly(1,8-octanediol-co-Pluronic F127 citrate)(POFC)prepolymer emulsion to construct a Pickering-like emulsion and to obtain the POFC/MWCNT conductive elastomers via solution-casting and vacuum thermocuring.The results show that the MWCNT and POFC prepolymer are mixed to form a stable and homogeneous emulsion via facile ultrasonic treatment and the POFC/MWCNT elastomers formed by which perform excellently in electrical conductivity and mechanical properties.The volume resistivity of the elastomers is reduced from(6.89±0.55)×108Ω·cm(pure POFC)to(2.43±0.29)×10Ω·cm,whose tensile strength and strain at break are 2.85 times and 1.53 times of those of the pure POFC elastomer.Moreover,the addition of MWCNT results in a little increase in hydrophobicity of the elastomers.
