Abstract:Corrosion damage,leading to crack initiation and crack propagation,is an important failure mechanism for aluminium structures of aging aircraft and aircraft used in corrosion circumstance.So,the development of fatigue and damage tolerance behavior for pre-corroded aluminium alloy,especially for pit damage,was presented in this paper.They are the basis of fatigue life prediction technique using damage tolerance method for pre-corroded aluminium alloy.
