Progress in Study of Coatings for Digital Color Ink-jet Printing Paper

The choice of components for coating material for digital color ink-jet printing paper are described, and at the same time the characteristics and properties of usually used pigments, adhesives and additives are also introduced in detail. It is pointed out that the applications of nano-technology and environmentally friendly technology in coatings are an inexorable trend for development of coatings. Applications of poly(vinyl alcohol) and compound adhesive based binder and microporous silicon dioxide as pigment are the hot point of research in preparation of coatings for digital color ink-jet printing paper curently.
