美的扩宽，棕地再生——以普罗维登斯钢铁厂庭院为例

随着城市的发展，城市经济转型和生态城市建设备受关注，工业时期遗留下的棕地具有闲置性、污染性、难再开发性、潜在危害性及景观风貌差等特征，成为城市建设过程亟待解决的难题。通过对美国普罗维登斯的一处后工业用地钢铁厂庭院再生为城市公共空间项目的研究，探索出这块废弃的工业用地采取基于原址的整治、积极的再利用策略、“精细化”的修复方式以及融入景观美学等策略，扩宽美的定义，将已然荒废的钢铁厂再生为可持续发展的公园。棕地治理不再是单纯的废弃地修复，而是通过发现场地之美，以此加以再生治理，实现棕地再生。以实例了解棕地问题与棕地再生策略，进一步研究城市棕地的修复与再利用，探索新的棕地再生策略，对城市的现代化进程与可持续发展意义重大。

Beauty Broadening and Brownfield Regeneration: A Project Case Study on the Steel Yard in the City of Providence

With city development comes increasing attention to urban economic transformation and eco-city construction. Brownfields arising from the industrial period are characterized by idleness, pollution, difficulty of development, potential dangers and poor landscape appearance, and have therefore become an urgent problem to be solved in the process of urban development. This paper studies the restoration and reuse of urban brownfields and explores new brownfield regeneration strategies through the case study of a post-industrial site in Providence, USA, wherein a former steel yard was regenerated into a public urban space. Remediation strategies applied to abandoned industrial land, the positive re-use strategy, the “delicacy” management philosophy and the integration of landscape aesthetics are explored, demonstrating how broadening of the definition of beauty in combination with suitable remediation treatment can realize regeneration of brownfields such that they can be viewed as no longer a simple abandoned land repair projects.
