| Abstract: | The cutting experiments were carried out to investigate the cutting performances including the cutting forces, chip morphology and cutter's wear characteristic during precisely turning the hardened GCr15 bearing steel with the PCBN cutter. Furthermore, the machined surface qualities of the hard turning, including the surface roughness, depth of hardened layer, white layer of subsurface and distribution of residual stress were studied. |
