Abstract: | ![]() Discusses the use of the laser optometer as a means of evaluating visual accommodation distances. Advantages of the laser procedure, which involves superimposing a speckle pattern reflected from a moving drum into the field of view where the observer reports the direction of movement of the pattern, are examined, and some experimental findings on the optometer are discussed.
