摘    要:设计了一种基于4°倾斜光纤Bragg光栅(TFBG)和弹 性 材料的横向压力传感器。利用TFBG光谱对周围介质折射率响应的特性,实现了 对较低压力范围(0~7N)的线性测量。采 用快速傅里叶变换(FFT)方法对光谱进行解调,测量灵敏度可达1920 a.u./(N/mm),线性拟 合度为0.998。研究了不同弹性材料对测量灵敏度的影响,实现对测 量范围和测量灵 敏度的调谐。本文传感器工作在反射光谱方式,易于集成(光栅区长度仅5mm),可以植入弹 性材料内部用于协调接触压力的测量。

Abstract:Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) have been extensively studied and used in o ptical sensing applications due to their unique advantages.For transverse load sensing,sensor s based on FBGs can be fabricated by utilizing the Bragg wavelength splittin g generated from the load induced birefringence in the fiber.However,the lateral pressure sensitivity of normal FBGs is too small to offer a good range of applications in comparison to FBG-based axial load sensor s.Thus,to improve the performance in small load applications,various FBG variants have be en developed. In this paper,a transverse load sensing scheme based on the effect of a conform ing elastomer material on the transmission spectrum of tilted fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) is s tudied and small forces measurement (0~7N) was demonstrated.Applying a fast Fourier transform (F FT) method,the transmission spectrum can provide sensitivity of 1920a.u./ (N/mm) and linearity of 0.998.Moreover,we focus on minimization of the sensor size as well as the demonstration that the sensitivity in lower load range can b e adjusted by properly selecting the conforming material.The proposed sensor can be implanted into elastic material for conforming contact measurement.
