干涉型光纤陀螺中磁光Faraday效应的研究

摘    要:基于Jones矩阵法,采用以分段保偏光纤(PMF)级联模拟普通单模光纤(SMF)的模型得出的光纤环传输矩阵,对Faraday效应在干涉型光纤陀螺(IFOG)中的影响做了系统的分析,得出可定量分析IFOG由Faraday效应所引起的相位漂移的一般公式.利用此公式,以采用PMF的IFOG为例进行了仿真分析,结果表明,Faraday效应致相位漂移受光纤偏振主轴偏转影响显著.在一定偏转范围内,相位漂移随偏转呈指数增长关系.由此得出,在采用PMF制作IFOG时光纤环与IFOG芯片的熔接过程中对光纤旋转机构的精度要求.

Abstract:The drift of an interferometer fiber-optic gyro(IFOG) by the magnetic field through the Faraday affect is systemically demonstrated.Based on the Jones matrix,a generally formula that can be used to analyze this problem quantitatively is given.In the analysis,a model in which several polarization maintaining optical fibers are connected in series is used to describe the characteristics of the ordinary single-mode fiber.By the derived formula,the drift caused by the magnetic field in the IFOG with a polarization maintaining fiber is simulated.The simulation result is given.The precision requirement of the fiber rotation system used to splice the fiber coil with the gyro chip is gained from the result.
