新颖的双级双程输出C L波段高功率宽带光源

摘    要:在分析了采用掺铒光纤(EDF)产生C波段和L波段光的基础上,进一步分析了双级双程结构实现C L波段宽带光源(BBS)的基本原理,优化设计后并通过实验用双级双程结构实现了高功率C L波段宽带放大的自发辐射(ASE)同时输出。其中,第1级采用双程前向可实现功率为19.2mW(12.93dBm),平均波长为1552.823nm的C L(1520~1610nm之间)ASE输出;第1级采用双程后向可实现功率为21.13mW(13.25dBm),平均波长为1552.925nm的C L(1524~1610nm之间)ASE输出,两级所用的光纤长度分别为7m(低浓度)和31m(高浓度)。对比分析两种结构输出光谱的抽运光利用效率、光滑平坦特性后,可得出第1级采用双程后向的双级双程是一种更为理想的实现C L波段高功率ASE输出的结构。

Abstract:The principle of C+L band ASE fiber light source of two-stage double-pass was investigated and optimized.The output of C+L band with high power was achieved experimentally.The output of C+L(between 1 520 and 1 610 nm) is 19.2 mW (12.93 dBm) when double-pass forward pumping is used in first stage,and the mean wavelength is 1 552.823 nm;the output of C+L(between 1 524 and 1 610 nm) is 21.13 mW (13.25 dBm) when double-pass backward pumping is used in first stage,and the mean wavelength is 1 552.925 nm.The length of two stage are individually about 7 m (lower doped) and 31 m (higher doped).Meanwhile,after the character of output spectra,efficiency of pump and flatness were discussed and compared about two kinds,the conclusion is that double-pass backward pumping of the first stage in the two-stage double-pass configuration is more perfect for the design of C+L band ASE fiber source.
